My fellow Mixxers and SuperMixxers, I come before you with a new challenge – this time directed at Mixx itself! As some of you are aware, we have focused some energy in working against those who have previously abused the system.  It was a two stage campaign – reactive and proactive. It is now time to begin being proactive. Mixx, over the last year, has been growing very steadily, gaining new users every day.  We’ve always been a tight community, what with The Mixxing Bowl and individual interactions we’ve had with each other.  It’s time to extend that community feeling outward and welcome the newer users. The key goal here is to continue helping Mixx to grow, and so our goal for The Ultimate Challenge is two-fold: 1.    Help Mixx retain our new fellow Mixxers coming into the community 2.    Get more quality submissions hitting the popular page The question is, “How do we do this?” Let’s take a look at what we can do to help accomplish this ultimate challenge. It’s a site that literally plugs into your activity at a variety of social media sites such as del.icio.us, Digg, LinkedIn, Stumble and much more. However, there is one social media site that is notably absent… That’s right – it’s Mixx. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to get Mixx on FriendFeed! Step One: Go to FriendFeed.com and sign up for the service. Most of your friends or some social media addicts are already signed up. Look ‘em up and subscribe to their Friend Feed. Step Two: E-mail them at feedback@friendfeed.com – and tell them you want Mixx added to their service! So, step up troops of the Mixx Army, and let your voice be heard! Keep on mixxin’!

For many of us Mixx has been a breath of fresh air, but over time a few, less than desirable, scents have made their way across many noses. These scents come in the form of blind voting, inappropriate submissions, disrespectful behavior, increased number of duplicate stories, or just plain ignorance on the part of new Mixxers and Old. A simple mistake by one person usually doesn't do much to harm the system, but multiply a few innocent mistakes by a few tens of thousands and you've got yourself more than a few problems. In the Mixxing Bowl as well as Mixx itself many people want to know what the "appropriate" behavior at Mixx is, but there's one problem. There are not hard and fast rules to being a good Mixxer, more like a lot of subtle guidelines.
