Mixx now allows people to disable sharing now, and I've subscribed to unsubscribe to groups and individual shares; for now. I began to get inundated with so many emails even Gmail wasn't helping me sift through the 200-300 emails daily. To be specific the following two options have been disabled in my account: "an item is added to one of my groups." "Allow other users to share Mixx items with me" I'm still notified when you add me as a friend (if choose to do so) as well as when you reply to me in a comment. In addition to removing myself from groups, I will also no longer be submitting to groups as well. I think groups were a great idea by the Mixx guys, but I think they may be used primarily as a "Help me get this to the front page" tool. I also was receiving way too many emails containing topics that I am simply not interested in: Marketing, SEO, Search, Blogging about Blogging, and the occasional Hello Kitty Darth Vader.
