Ok so I figured it's time for some feedback on this. I love and think it helps the community greatly, but I have noticed it's starting to be abused. I've found that a MS story was marked as related when it had nothing to do with the topic of an article and in no way did it give different perspectives of that particular article. It appears that certain people were given the Super Mixxer Status are abusing it this way. Unfortunately you can't tell which user it was (though I have a feeling who did). Great feature but it needs some slight work to prevent things like this.

So how do you link articles? I saw two today that should probably be linked, but I couldn't figured out how. I read over my "super mixx powers" email a few times and couldn't figured it out. I think I got booted from the list of special people somehow . . . if I did something wrong, won't someone please let me know! Thx.

So how do you link articles? I saw two today that should probably be linked, but I couldn't figured out how. I read over my "super mixx powers" email a few times and couldn't figured it out. I think I got booted from the list of special people somehow . . . if I did something wrong, won't someone please let me know! Thx.
When vieiwing a story you should see a link on the right that says "Add Related Item". Now I'm not sure, but I believe you have to vote or comment on the thing prior if you don't see it. |

Ok, I sent them an email and they fixed it for me. I'm really enjoying this option, especially because I know it's sure to grow and help the site a lot. It reminds me how I'll get sucked into reading articles on wikipedia for hours by clicking related links. Kudos to whoever though of this  The only problem I'm having is that it's not really intuitive to find the related article. I've only done a couple linkings so far because it takes me a while to search for that one article I read a week ago that relates to the one I'm reading now. If there was a way to search in the dialog box then it might be a lot easier, but I'm not sure how you would implement that. |
