Social Blend 28 Weeks Later
Presented by Greg Davies (cGt2099 from The-TrukstoP.com), Jay Fowler (SilentJay74 from JuicySnake.com), Brian Hill (Bdog2g2 from MixxingBowl.com), and Reem Abeidoh (Nomadelle from ReemAbeidoh.com), the Social Blend examines the latest news and opinions hitting the world of social media. The main focus of the show is on Mixx.com, yet focuses on other sites and contenders in the social media field.
The latest edition of Social Blend sees us joined by special guests Chris aka Hot Fuzz, and MikeonTV. We discuss Mixx’s latest contest in which YOU could win yourself a 3G iPhone (details in the podcast and in the show links below). Additionally we send a shout out to our good friend Mark Dykeman from Broadcasting Brain for interviewing each of the SB hosts this week! We hope to have Mark on as a guest in an upcoming episode.
We also discuss the troubles experienced by Tim Part from the Social Monks, and highlight how you can help these fantastic guys. Reem recounts her meeting with the Social Monks, and then we move onto Jay’s two video selections for the week: both movie trailers – Max Payne and Quarantine.
Fuzz brings up a cool Linux story he had his eyes on, while Mike brings up the recent controversy surrounding Verizon dropping their deal with Loren Feldman and 1938Media. Greg, as usual, discusses a couple of photos from Mixx, but spends a great deal of time on one screen capture that has everything to do with Orangutans and the website-that-should-not-be-named (Rules 1 and 2!).
Finally, we jump into a discussion about zombie flicks, which eventually branches out to opinions about the movie industry in general. Our User Focus is Arianrhod this week – and as usual we talk of some Comments of the Week and jump into the Mixx Lounge.
