Social Blend Candles: The Reempire Strikes Back
Presented by Greg Davies (cGt2099 from The-TrukstoP.com), Joe Fowler (SilentJay74 from JuicySnake.Blogspot.com), Brian Hill (Bdog2g2 from MixxingBowl.com), and Reem Abeidoh (Nomadelle from ReemAbeidoh.com), the Social Blend examines the latest news and opinions hitting the world of social media. The main focus of the show is on Mixx.com, yet focuses on other sites and contenders in the social media field.
We’re joined this week during the first ever live recording of Social Blend with special guest Andy Sorcini, aka MrBabyMan – popular Digger, host of The Drill Down, and co-host of The Round Up. We discuss the recent upgrades made to Mixx in the last week, Muhammed Saleem’s article about Mixx, and YouTube finally adding Mixx to their sharing function.
For our Stories of the Week, Brian and Jay bring up the recent news of a social media driven physical attack by teenage girls on another girl – an issue that raised much controversy during discussion. Andy brings up news of a new retreat being made for world leaders, while Reem highlights a Social Blend Group submission about using Twitter. Greg follows up with a couple of photos.
Our User Focus is Pleeker this week – and as usual we talk of some Comments of the Week and jump into the Mixx Lounge.
And, of course, the highlight of this particular episode is the Star Wars throwdown. Greg and Jay ask the questions, Reem answers, Andy keeps score, and Brian throws in some smart ass comments for good measure. Who will win the throwdown? Reem was so awesome I had to award her my Lego minifig of Leia in slave outfit as well as a Yoda lego pen! She really takes these challenges seriously. Do not underestimate the Reem-force!
