The show’s main focus is on Mixx.com, yet focuses on other sites and contenders in the social media field.
This week’s episode brings in two very special guests: Andy Sorcini aka Mr. Baby Man and Reg Saddler aka Zaibatsu from The Drill Down podcast. The guys join us towards the end of the program, where we clear the air on some of the assumptions and criticisms recently made about the 2008 Digg Revolt.
But first, we focus on the Mixx and Social Blend news, including the launch of the new Mixx messaging system. We send Honest Ape a shout out for his Smilies, and briefly discuss the Social News Central website.
As for stories of the week, Tamar discusses how she lost her taste buds for a few days, and explains how that particular experience lead her into thinking about Google page rank ethics! Greg brings in some macro snake photos and talks about running to the Pope mobile over a porno magazine. Following up on the recent news about tornadoes in his home state, Silent Jay introduces us to his weather man – better known internationally as the “boob” weather man.
Amypwnsnoobs aka Amy Ngyuen is our User Focus for this week – and Liam Victor scores comment of the week. As usual we quickly storm through the Mixx Lounge.

I agree with Reg about having your default page go to the popular page and have “your mixx” be an option on the tabs. Usually I’m already familiar with my “your mixx” and sometimes I forget to check the popular because its not my main page. When I do remember I do find some gems on that page and I’m always curious to see what is ranking at the top.
